Inspired by PR Daily’s post “Which Disney character resembles your PR life most?”, I began to wonder what kind of jobs the Disney Princesses would have if they were born into our world (without their royalty status, of course). Here are my thoughts:
Belle – University Professor
With her love for books and learning, Belle’s ideal career would be a professor. Learning and research is already in her blood as her father was an inventor. And she would have the passion, compassion and patience to teach any student as she was able to Beast how to read (whose personality lived up to his name when he first met Belle). Her love for learning and patience for teaching will make her an ideal university professor.
Snow White – Executive Assistant
After taking care of seven dwarves, Snow White has proved her ability to multitask and organize. As soon as she stepped into the dusty, unkept house, she resourcefully cleaned it up using her animal friends and even prepared a meal for all of them. In addition to her ability to multitask, Snow White also has the interpersonal skills to deal with all types of personalities. I mean, she even got Grumpy to come around in the end. With a gift for multitasking, organization and interpersonal skills, Snow White could keep any executive in shape to perform at their best.
Jasmine – Travel Writer
Even with her luxurious life as the Princess of Agrabah, Jasmine always longed to discover the world beyond the palace walls. She might not be able to travel on a magic carpet, but her sense of adventure and determination will get her to discover all corners of the world. And her sassy attitude will give her a unique voice when writing about her travel experiences.
Ariel – Vocalist
Ariel was the star of the underwater orchestra so it’s only natural that her talent would be appreciated on dry land. Sure, her never-ending curiosity might get her in trouble from time to time, but with a capable manager (possibly named Sebastian) and a great band, her beautiful voice will quickly gain a fan-base.
Mulan – General Military Officer
In an era where women were expected to embroider and bear children, Mulan broke tradition to join the army. excelled ahead of her fellow comrades in training and single-handedly defeated the leader of the opposing forces using an unconventional tactic. She has the discipline and loyalty to be an excellent soldier but it’s her ability in military strategy and the respect she commands from other soldiers that will give her to the ability to achieve the General status.
